Working on a new collection of prints for a little show in April... I've been leaning toward more saturated color lately and I think I like it.

Science

Once in a while I'm asked to do an illustration for the the Science Times section of The New York Times. It's always a pleasure and it can be a real challenge to condense a simple visual from often complex material. This image ran today for a story about the memory fallout that can occur when too many prescription medications get muddled together. Here it is in glorious full color, although the print version ran in stoic black and white.

the surreal deal...

Having just finished up a CD package design for the brilliant new "Ghosts Before Breakfast" recording from Rob Morsberger, I have surrealism on my mind. This new promo image is a tip of the hat to that grand tradition of images that make no sense in ways that, in the end, are more profound than reason. Does that make any sense??

The Nation - FOOD issue

The current issue of The Nation features my collage work on the cover (designed by Milton Glaser) and a series of 7 collage illustrations for the interior of the magazine as well. Always a pleasure to be a part of The Nation's good work and very nice to have the chance to work with Milton.
